Whose dogs are these?
They’re my mom’s Golden Retrievers. She trains and shows them in obedience, agility and field trials, and they’re very much part of our family.
The original photographs come from all three of us — my mom, my dad and me. They’re taken during training, walks, competitions and ordinary days at home, not in a studio.
I then edit each photograph to give it the painterly look you see in the calendar. Every image begins with one of our dogs and one of our photographs. None of it is stock.
